Cottage and apartment living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s care, skilled nursing care, an adult day program, and home care services.

2. Can only Episcopalians live at Still Hopes?

Though sponsored by the Episcopal Church, all denominations are represented and welcomed in the resident body.

3. Can I live in one level of care while my spouse, who needs more
assistance, lives in another?

Yes. As a continuing care retirement community, Still Hopes is designed to meet the specific level of care needed for each resident.

4. How many residents are there at Still Hopes?

Still Hopes has the capacity to house approximately 400 residents.

5. What services are provided for apartment and cottage residents?

The Monthly Fee for apartment and cottage living includes a generous monthly meal allowance per resident; weekly housekeeping; all utilities except for telephone; basic cable TV service; interior and exterior maintenance of the residence; grounds keeping; scheduled transportation; emergency response system; community patrol; hazard and liability insurance; and an array of cultural, educational, social and spiritual activities.

6. What fees are charged for apartment and cottage living?

Still Hopes charges an Entrance Fee which is based on the size of the apartment or cottage and the number of residents who are parties to the contract. The Entrance Fee is always at least 50% refundable. The Monthly Fee pays for the services outlined above, and is also based on the size of the residence and the number of occupants.

7. How is the Entrance Fee refundable?

Let us illustrate with an example. If a resident invests $200,000 in an apartment, he/she will receive a minimum of $100,000 in a refund when the apartment is vacated. If he/she passes away while in residence, the refund goes to his/her estate. If he/she transfers permanently to a higher level of care, the refund becomes a credit against charges for assisted living, Alzheimer’s care, or skilled nursing care. While the 50% Refund Plan is the standard plan at Still Hopes, there is also a 90% Refund Plan.
