Thoughts on Wellness

  • Crossword puzzles or other games are good exercise for the mind, but acts of creative expression are even better. Take up hobbies like painting, woodworking, knitting, writing, or learning a new dance and use your mind to the fullest potential.
  • A walking program consisting of at least 30 minutes per day 5 – 7 days per week does more to prevent Type II diabetes than the best medicine on the market.
  • Gentle joint movement, performed daily, both helps prevent osteoarthritis and relieves osteoarthritis pain. Movement performed in a warm-water therapy pool works even better.
